My life is a testament to Henry David Thoreau’s quote “go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you have imagined”. It’s a thought that first caught my attention as a teenager and it has served me well ever since.

Stepping confidently in the direction of my dreams is how I’ve achieved all that I have, and it’s why I find myself where I am today – an actor, writer, aspiring producer, and a professional life coach.

I grew up in a small city in southwestern Ontario, Canada. I was the kid who loved to daydream about life outside of her city limits. I dreamt big (some would say unrealistically) and when I graduated from university I went out into the world to make my dreams a reality.

Now I find myself living out new dreams. That’s the great thing about dreams. You can have many, and they change and evolve as you do.

I started my professional career in New York City, working for the former president of the United States, Bill Clinton, at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). This will forever be one of my dream jobs, where I worked with colleagues that to this day I still regard as family. Following CGI, I worked on Wall Street, a place I’d always dreamt of working. I spent several years on the fixed income trading floor in sales and trading at an investment bank. This was in 2009, only a year after Lehman Brothers had collapsed and the world economy was still in a very rocky place – needless to say, it was a wild time.

Following my time in finance, I took a job at a boutique consulting firm that specialized in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. There I got to work with Fortune 500 companies and leading international organizations such as the United Nations on research projects around CSR and sustainability – another to-do-list item checked off.

Today I can confidently say that I continue to create a life of my own design. A life full of passion, joy, love and contribution.

To accomplish all that I have and get to where I am today I’ve had to step outside of my comfort zone more times than I would have liked. In 2013 I made my biggest leap yet – I traded in a life I loved in New York City and my charming west village apartment to pursue my passion for acting and the film industry. Today I’m proud to say that I’m a working union actor and have had the pleasure of working with some incredible talent behind the camera on several hollywood big blockbuster films.

Sometimes you have to give up everything you have to get everything you want.

I’m a big believer in the power of support, self-love, and self-discovery. This is what brings me here to you. To share with you all that I’ve learned and to empower anyone seeking to take on new actions in their life – you too can create and live a life you love. Do not let your circumstances stop you.
